Chemical peels use specially formulated solutions to exfoliate the skin, this will remove a built-up of surface cells, cells will appear fresher and so reduce dullness, uneven texture and certain types of pigmentation.

Peels vary in strength and depth, with different options suited to different skin concerns. There is enzyme peels which are more like pacmen that chomp up the dead skin. It’s a skin brightened. You don’t generally need to prep for this peel. The accelerator peel is more hydroxy acid based with lactic, glycolic, tartaric and malic acid to dissolve the glue holding the cells together, making it easier for them to slough off, it is a slightly more deeper peel.

Retinol peels use the acids mentioned above but also add in retinol which is massaged in for 20 minutes. The retinol makes its way down and pushes the cells from the bottom to the top much faster. If you have wrinkles or pigmentation this peel is perfect because of its depth.
