Good skin barrier will fight and protect from allergens, unwelcomed chemicals and infectious materials.
The barrier is helping to maintain b a beautiful homeostasis environment, including water loss.
Compromised skin barrier often results in dehydration, infection, sensitivity and ultimately inflammation and then the cycle continues.
*Try not to over wash or exfoliate the skin, treat the sensitive areas differently to the rest of the face. Maybe swap the cleanser for Micellar waters which cleans but doesn’t strip.
*Avoid too much sun exposure, goes without saying, sunblock especially with a good quality zinc.

If you experience itching, redness and tightness work on building your skins barrier. Use of B3 (here’s a blog on b3 or otherwise known as niacinamide) , zinc, antioxidants and fatty acids will help.
