????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️ For a long time it was believed that zinc is a far more superior because it reflects the UV (physical sunblock), whereas chemical sunblock absorbs.
It absorbs the UV, changes it to heat & therefore there is some free radical damage within in the skin. But it’s better than getting sunburnt so c’est la vie.. ????????‍♀️
The studies for this were done in the 1970’s.

Well there’s new studies proving this incorrect ????????????…I know right just when we get a few decent zincs that are not greasy and grouse they throw this one at us.
In fact both chemical and physical sunblocks absorb and reflect back about 5%!

???? The main thing you may want to consider then is the other beneficial ingredients in the sunblock product you purchase ????also I do consider the ingredient zinc because it has benefits other than blocking the sun, like healing and repairing. If you can find a non greasy one it’s also great for acne apart from being healing, it’s an oil regulator. I think it’s a good “use as moisturiser” type product for teens.

☀️ The other thing you want to look at is, the multiple active sunblock ingredients to block UVA & UVB. Though Zinc cover both of these. ????
